An Equestrian website - our largest project yet!

Our largest project to date – Voices For Horses is a large Equestrian website designed and programmed by the Akira Studio team. This 2.5 month long project went live recently and is already attracting allot of interest and traffic.

Emma Kurrels the founder of Voices for Horses is also a freelance writer, trainer and advises in the Q&A section of Horse Magazine on equine behaviour. After studying and working in the UK, America and Australia with different training methods and researching the science of behaviour Emma became concerned by the amount of conflicting information being offered by so many different schools of thought.

On her return to England in 1999 Emma became a co-founder of Company of Horses,  an organization dedicated to offering balanced education, combining academic theory with practical application in handling and training,  incorporating  how human behaviour and motivation shaped equine behaviour. During her career as a trainer Emma met people from amateur  to professional with concerns ranging across the board but often struggling to find solutions, help or support. This is how the seeds of Voices for Horses were sown.

In 2006 Emma met with the Akira Studio team who were passionate about the concept and  had the vision and ability to turn  Voices for Horses into the site is it today.  We now work together on a daily basis enhancing the website and adding new features and media content – examples of our video production work can be found here also.
